| General Information Tiaong is Quezon Province's gateway to Laguna & Batangas Provinces. It is the first town traversed when one travels through the Maharlika Highway coming from MetroManila. This municipality of 318.3 hectares has a population 48,606 scattered throughout 29 barangays. It is bounded on the north by the City of San Pablo, Laguna, on the east by Candelaria, on the south by San Antonio and by the Batangas Municipality of Padre Garcia on the west. The topography is genrally rolling with rugged terrain towards the mountainous region at the edge of the Quezon-Batangas boundery. Its climate, like its neighbors is of the socond type with a pronounced wet season and a limited dry season. Majority of Tiaong's inhabitants rely on agriculture as a chief source of livelihood. While others commute to its neighboring industrial town of Candelaria for work. |
